Graffiti for Freedom: The Fall of America in Seven Limericks

“People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough, people will sooner or later believe it.” Walter C. Langer
As Comedy has mournfully cried Right-wingers have always lied— Lied about their taxes, To cover their asses— So now to their strumpet they’re tied.
As Comedy will gnashingly note The ignorant do go vote Electing those who hate ’em (Same ones who betray ’em) — Now with their very own trumpcoat.
As Comedy has tearfully observed, Life is utterly absurd, Infrequently sunny, Terribly un-funny, And most likely to trump a turd.
As Comedy laughingly weeps Ignorance never sleeps, Never late for work To enrich the jerk Who trumpets his scorn for the creeps!
As Tragedy now solemnly sings The Eagle has lost its wings — Soiled, slickening disgrace, Hate battering its face — It’s trapped in trumped-up frac-kings.
Racism now exposed as rampant — New holocausts the new commandment — White alone survives Shitting others’ lives And hatred everywhere tr I yyyump-phant.
As History in future may tell It was a season in Hell: The mocking of spastics, The Russian gymnastics … Trumpets blaring as America fell.
